Why BARO Exists
My father was a first-generation Korean entrepreneur who built businesses his entire life. His ability to create something from nothing drove remarkable results — but he could never cross the Pacific. The US market was 15 hours away by plane, yet unreachable behind the barriers of language, compliance, and culture. He couldn't sign FDA documents, negotiate with US distributors, or provide English product listings that would convert American consumers.
My father's story is not unique. There are 8.1 million SMEs in Korea, and the overwhelming majority will never sell a single product in the United States. Not because their products aren't good enough. Because they don't have a co-founder on the ground — someone to own all operations across the ocean.
